Central Gauteng Open Water Champs NOTICE
Dear Open Water Swimmers, Logistics
The City of Johannesburg has given CGA OW swimmers, permission to use the Florida Lake swimming pool to use as a warm up and warm down pool. Please make use of the facility, you may walk from the OW venue to the pool, don’t drive there the front gate is closed. The Swimming pool will be closed to the public and will be at our disposal. We suggest that you use the pool’s ablution facilities as the Boat club and the Dragon boat club’s are currently renovating their bathrooms. Swimmers and spectators may use the clubhouse facilities, portable toilets will be available for everyone to use. The lake has been cleaned; two permanent staff members from the Dragon Boat Club have been cleaning the lake and monitoring the water for the past two weeks. Water temperature taken this week has been ranging from 18-25 degrees. DOWNLOAD THE ATTACHMENT TO READ THE FULL NOTICE!
